Scientific Digital Communication Intern
The Scientific Digital Communication intern will work with a multi-disciplinary team of content developers, scientific writers, visual artists, and digital specialists to audit, evaluate, and improve our digital channels (websites) for sharing stories of research and discovery. This position offers the opportunity to become immersed in the breadth and depth of the scientific research enterprise at St. Jude, while honing skills in digital channel processes and strategy (SEO best practices, tagging, web architecture, etc.). Qualifications Working toward an undergraduate or master’s degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in communications, life sciences, digital media, project management, or a similar field with a 3.0 GPA or above. Demonstrated interest in biomedical science and research. Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills. Ability to communicate in a professional manner with peers and leaders. Able to navigate priorities and work autonomously as appropriate. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Experience with Adobe platform software and/or other digital management platforms preferred. Responsibilities Assist with digital content creation as needed (writing, page design, etc.) Audit current digital domains managed by the Scientific Communication team and identify areas for content refresh, cross-linking, and general improvement. Review Sci-Comm web domains for SEO opportunities, accessibility concerns, and broken links. Assist with project management processes related to digital platform operations.
