dsm-firmenich are looking for a highly driven and motivated Scientist. You will join the Analytical Sciences department in Kaiseraugst, part of Science & Research division, and contribute to our innovation projects success.

Your key responsibilities:

Develop and apply innovative analytical solutions for the development of nutritional and cosmetics products and their applications, with a primary focus on vitamins & carotenoidsPlan, prioritize and execute experiments to address prominent technical questions and build scientific knowledgeContribute to the technical and scientific development the team Collaborate on multidisciplinary and cross-site innovation projects with internal and external partners.Communicate scientific results and project progress effectivelyBuild strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

You bring:

PhD or post-doctoral degree in analytical chemistry, with ideally 3-5 years of experience in industry or equivalent and sound understanding of organic chemistry; solid knowledge in food and formulation technologies is an advantage.Strong practical and theoretical background on (quantitative) LC -(HR)MS for targeted and untargeted analysis is a must, with track record on advanced data processing, statistical data analysis and validation of analytical methodsInterest in automation of workflows in an analytical laboratory and sound knowledge of different chromatographic data system software (e.g. ChromeleonTM, Sciex OS) and coding (Python, R) is a plus.Creativity and an open mind to solve complex analytical problems following a rigorous scientific approach.Excellent team spirit, communication, inter-domain knowledge, organization skills and networking capacity.Fluent in English. Good knowledge of German language skills would be an advantage.
