If so, we invite you to explore this exciting opportunity in our Imaging and Data Analytics Pathology department at AstraZeneca!
The Role
As an Image Analysis Scientist, you will play a crucial role in drug discovery by delivering the histology components of early investigative safety studies. Your responsibilities will include tissue trimming, processing, precision microtomy, staining, and digitization. You will independently manage the entire histology process and develop image analysis algorithms using both commercial software platforms and custom computer vision models, primarily for digital pathology imaging modalities (e.g., H&E, IHC, multiplex immunofluorescence) across various therapeutic areas.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including imaging scientists, pathologists, biologists, and data scientists within Clinical Pharmacology and Safety Sciences (CPSS). Your work will contribute to deriving biological insights from digital pathology imaging data, ultimately supporting our drug development projects.
