Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is looking for a self-starting, team-oriented Senior DevOps Software Engineer to lead a dynamic team in supporting exciting and meaningful Space Domain Mission applications.  The selected candidate will be on a Senior Technical Lead role of a program working with classified large-scale enterprise applications using web technologies, distributed computation and storage frameworks, and sophisticated, cutting-edge domain analytics, with the system hosted on virtualized and cloud-computing platforms.  The selected candidate will be leading the DevSecOps team and processes. The DevSecOps lead will collaborate with software development leads to ensure software applications are securely developed, tested, deployed and released. Additionally, regular interaction and reporting to leadership and customers will be required.

Essential Functions:

Leads and architects the right implementation of DevSecOps methodologies into a modernized Agile software development environment.Provides leadership and collaborating with other engineers to plan, design and develop the DevSecOps environment that includes cohesive CI/CD pipelinesDesigns and architect software systems with consideration of scalability, cost, and reliabilityAnalyzes continuously the DevSecOps environment for technical and process improvements (e.g., integration of security measures, faster security and software updates, improved automation, reduced glitches, and software failures, etc.)Provides deep understanding of DevSecOps and modern software development practices for DoD and ICSupports the entire Software Development Lifecycle with an emphasis on build and release management via automationFocuses on leadership, architecting, and systems designPromotes DevOps as a team culture and new technologiesOrganizational and leadership abilities with strong communication and presentation skills

Qualifications:

TS/SCI with CI Polygraph security clearanceB.S. degree Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline and minimum of 12 years of prior related experience; or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.Experience (8+ years) with working as a Hands-On DevOps working on complex Realtime, Distributed, High Volume, Event Processing systemsExperience designing and architecting software systems with consideration of scalability, cost, and reliabilityExperience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or GovCloudExperience with continuous integration, build management, and automated test frameworksExperience using the Agile/Scrum methodology and tools 

Preferred Additional Skills:

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is VA area is $155,500 - $288,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
