As a Systems Engineer Scientist in our Infared (IR) Sensors business area, you will have the opportunity to work various programs solving our customer’s most difficult technical challenges. This role will have a broad impact to programs and projects that are critical to our customers! As an IR SME, you will support planning activities to address development activity processes and procedures for the organization. You will be a technical lead for one or more program teams. Tasks include technical planning, design, analysis, implementation, system integration, validation and verification. Analyses are performed at all levels to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. This position supports the Integrated Mission Systems (IMS) Segment, a great team of talented professionals with world class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together. Be a Subject Matter ExpertEO/IR (Electro-Optical/Infrared) for one or more programsComprehend EO/IR functional and performance requirements and effectively decompose them for our IR sensor portfolio.Lead technical planning, system integration, validation, and verification activities.Broad understanding of Systems Analysis and methods. Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.10 years or more demonstrated experience with designing, developing, testing, and delivering 10 years or more demonstrated experience in the architecture, specification, implementation, simulation, test, verification, validation, and debugging 10 years or more demonstrated complex problem solving and decision making — Able to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions; able to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate solutionMust have the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.Must be a US CitizenPreferred Additional Skills:
