Scientist, Technical Consumer Research
The Technical Consumer Research (TCR) Scientist works as an individual contributor who will design and influence the adoption of appropriate sensory and consumer science to ensure our product offerings for the North America Operating Unit (OU) are market leaders, resonating with consumers' preferences and expectations. The TCR Scientist will also actively participate in Global TCR communities providing their unique point of view and collaborating on building global research plans that influence our innovation pipeline. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** **SENSORY SCIENCE AND CONSUMER RESEARCH DESIGN PRINCIPLES** + Design and conduct sensory & consumer research studies to meet project objectives. + Lead categories with support. + Design and conduct sensory & consumer research studies to meet specific project objectives. + Stay curious and leverage external knowledge to try innovative methods. **DATA ANALYTICS & SYNTHESIS** + Analyze and interpret test results, present technical conclusions. + Knowledge and basic usage of Statistical software (XLStat, SPSS, SAS, etc.), Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Word + Harness evolving technologies and data analytics to develop tools and solutions that bolster competitive advantage and deliver market-leading results." + AI/Machine Learning: Familiarity and eagerness to apply these technologies. **TECHNICAL RISK MANASGEMENT** + Ability to identify and assess technical risks, collaborate developing strategies to mitigate them, and implement proactive measures to ensure project continuity and system integrity. **BUSINESS UNDERSTANDING & SYSTEM KNOWLEDGE** + Use system thinking to influence non-technical roles with compelling business cases. **TECHNCIAL COMMUNICATION & DATA STORYTELLING** + Translate strategic visions into actionable plans. + Prepare and present technical conclusions to technical and non-technical audiences. + **INFLUENCING & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT** + Business Partnerships, collaborate with multiple functions and provide market insights. + Manage and nurture relationships with research suppliers, academic institutions, and cross-functional teams. + Process Improvement, recommend and implement more effective ways of working. **Qualifications & Requirements** + B.S., MS, or PhD in food science, sensory science, or related fields. + Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in sensory science and consumer research **Skills:** Creative Approaches; Influencing Skills; Proactive Behavior; Statistical Analysis; Proactive Thinking; User Experience Analysis; Food Sciences; Data Driven; Data Analysis; Consumer Understanding; Communication; Sensory Evaluation; Managing Ambiguity; Sensory Research; Cross-Functional Teamwork Pay Range:$82,600 - $107,000 Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage:7.5 Annual Incentive reference value is a market-based competitive value for your role. It falls in the middle of the range for your role, indicating performance at target.
