Job Description

Primary responsibility will be to provide testing support using bench chemistry testing techniques to prove the efficacy of antibiotic products being produced on the manufacturing floor.

ResponsibilitiesOrder and maintain laboratory supplies to ensure smooth operations in the laboratory.Ensure timely release testing on all incoming raw materials and finished goods.Schedule and perform maintenance and calibration of all equipment as needed.Cross train to adequately and accurately perform other lab and sample lab duties.Review SOPs as needed to update to current procedures.Create and write protocols for incoming method developments.Ensure compliance to ensure a safe work environment.Ensure compliance with Federal, state, local, FDA, cGMPs organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices.Compile Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) documentation as needed for submissions.Review CMC submissions.Assist in the registration and listing of facilities and products.Compile manufacturing and change control documentation for minor changes and stability reports submitted annually to the FDA.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in life sciences; Chemistry or Biochemistry preferred, chemistry minors also acceptable.Working knowledge of scientific instrumentation and techniques.Working knowledge of Regulatory, cGMP, and FDA regulations.Proficient computer knowledge including but not limited to basic spreadsheet functions and word processing.Preferred 2-4 years of audit experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical facility.Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.Work Environment

The work involves spending 80% of the day in the lab with about 5-6 other technicians and the remaining time in the sample area with one other person. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
