Job Description
This position requires a scientist to support Extractable and Leachable (E&L) work in a laboratory setting. Responsibilities include performing extractions, working with ovens, conducting calibrations, preparing sample solutions, setting up experiments, and operating FTIR and ICP-MS equipment. While knowledge of E&L analysis is beneficial, it is not mandatory.
ResponsibilitiesPerform extractions and calibrations.Prepare sample solutions and set up experiments.Operate FTIR and ICP-MS equipment.Adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).Conduct sample preparation.Essential SkillsProficiency in chemistry and analytical techniques.Experience with FTIR, GCMS, and ICP-MS.Understanding of GMP and GLP.Capability in chemical characterization and quality control.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field.2+ years of industry chemistry experience.1+ years of FTIR experience.Experience with Extractable and Leachable (E&L) analysis.Familiarity with ICP-MS.Work Environment
The scientist will work within a shared services lab, collaborating with various internal business units, enhancing exposure to different protocols and medical devices. The role is project-based but could lead to full-time opportunities internally. The team culture emphasizes collaboration and team-building activities outside of work. Hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, within an upbeat team environment focused on biocompatibility, toxicology, and E&L analysis. Holiday pay is included.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr.
