Job purpose
We are looking for a candidate with professional catalyst knowledge, excellent communication and team working skills.The Senior Scientist will focus on the catalyst development for Gasoline/CNG application. In order to do so, the candidate will be working in collaborating with our Application Engineers and Commercial team to dig out the requirements from our customers. Via transferring them into proper development targets, the candidate needs to define the project scope and able to independently lead the actual development work actively working closely with global R&D team. Besides, the candidate will do the fundamental study for deep understanding and poisoning study. The candidate will also work together with NPI team and PcD team to transfer new formulations to mass production.Principal accountabilities
Independently lead product development projects including.
Preparing project plan and timeline of projects to meet the requirements.
Designing formulation, collecting experimental and test data to meet project objectives.
Tracking project progress, test progress to make sure development work is conducted on time.
Preparing samples for performance evaluation, and support sample preparation as required.
Documentation experiment records, reports, presentations, sample information, ect.
Following company process standards for product development, and update projects in systems on time
Making interpretative judgements of multiple and complex results, prepare and presents reports internally and externally.
Identify and develop new technology areas to fit project requirements.
Be a key customer technical support to customers and provide technical support to customers.
Interact with other experts in the field.
Following company safety rules.
Following Life Saving Policy .
Behavior following EHS requirements, including but not limited to near miss reports, PPE wearing, raw material safety evaluation, etc.
Following company general policies.
Qualifications
PhD in catalysis chemistry, chemical engineering or colloid chemistry.
>3 years working experiences in catalyst industry.
Experiences in catalyst research and development .
Inorganic material research experience.
Good communication skills – verbal, written in English.
Good experiment design and project management skills.
Good chemical analysis understanding and data analysis capability.
Experienced in using office software especially word, excel and powerpoint.
Good team working capability.
Chemistry related literature searching and summarization skills.
Engagement & Performance oriented.
