Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Cold Room/Freezers -22degrees, No eye contacts allowed; prescriptive glasses will be provided, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Standing for full shift

Hours: 7am - 3:30pm Mon-Fri (OT as needed)

Essential Duties

Follow prescribed directions to calculate the amount of chemical needed to formulate the volume of the product specified in the production scheduleperform line openings and line closingsprepare and formulate serum, clinical diagnostic assays, and reagents for research and commercial scientific products in the IVD industryFollow GMP/FDA requirements and record data in batch records.Input data into a computerized material control system.Responsible for quality of product produced.Perform basic laboratory analytical testing.Responsible for the cleaning and routine maintenance of all equipment.Prepare and inspect equipment for use.Set up pumps, filters, tubing connections and mixers.Continuously follow all safety requirements including PPE.Monitor work area for unsafe conditions and take immediate action to address safety.Complete other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

B.S. in Science or Medical Technology

Physical Requirements:

Position may require frequent walking, standing. Must be able to successfully complete a Respirator Fit Test within 6 months of hire. Ability to lift materials weighing up to 50 - 75 pounds, using traditional and non-traditional lifting techniques. Employee will be trained in these techniques upon employment.
