Discover Impactful Work:Maintain a clean and safe work environmentQualify product(s) in a lab setting following standard operating proceduresPerform various assays including PCR, qPCR, Bioanalyzer, HPLC, HPIC, and nucleic acid purificationAnalyze data and actively participate in troubleshootingFollow controlled protocols and maintain equipment and product inventoriesIdentify and implement manufacturing procedures to optimize existing processesInitiate and bring up problem reports related to production issues or deviations when they occurMay perform radioactive assays and analysis, TR-FRET assays, fluorescence based assays, and protein concentration assaysOther duties as assignedKeys to Success:
Education and Experience
High School diploma and 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or research laboratory; or Associates Degree in a scientific field and at least 2 years of experience; or Bachelor's degree in a scientific field and 0-2+ years of demonstrated experienceIntroductory experience in scientific laboratory techniques and equipmentExcellent documentation and communication techniquesWork Environment:Works in a clean, controlled, manufacturing lab environment with specialized equipmentRegularly required to lift up to 20 pounds, occasionally up to 45 pounds with assistance and/or equipmentMay be required to stand for long periods of timeMust be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as neededMust work with chemicals and hazardous materials safelyOccasional use of a step-stool is required to reach for objectsWhile performing duties of this position, employee will occasionally work with fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicalsBenefits:
