Job Summary

Entry level Scientist II position is available within the Scent R&D division at one of the world’s leading fragrance and flavor companies. This New Jersey based position is one that offers the ability to practice state of the chemistry for the discovery of scent molecules and/or materials, drive molecule discovery innovation and reaction technology development (new capabilities), contribute to process innovation, and help guide commercial production in areas you work.

Responsibilities:

Conducting technical bench experiments targeting molecule synthesisDiscovering and developing catalytic conversions toward unique Scent ingredientsCarrying out challenging projects in R&D and proposing new catalyst and process innovation projects to serve internal customer baseAnalyzing data, accurately documenting experimenting, and proposing next stepsLab scale catalyst development, catalyst scale-up, and technology implementationSupporting exchange of know-how and experience of catalysis in the global innovation community of IFFInitiating external collaboration or consultanciesActing as functional representative on project team/managing project areas
