Lead and inspire change within the Manufacturing Sciences sector at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. Complete projects to implement process, raw material, and finished goods changes for the Chemical and Biological commodity. Collaborate with various Thermo Fisher teams, senior management, and external vendors to motivate change. Develop technical relationships and handle conflicts with outstanding confidence and integrity. What will you do? + Work with or lead sophisticated and/or virtual program teams to achieve detailed execution. + Lead cross-functional teams, facilitating communication, decision making, and ensuring alignment with internal and external collaborators. + Identify, document, and communicate project risks and develop contingency plans. + Develop project tasks, results, dependencies, and resource requirements. + Build, maintain, and coordinate vital documentation and records; ensure the quality of project results and documentation. + Exercise scope management with consideration for customer, team, and company needs. + Track and communicate status, plans, issues, timelines, action items, and budgets. + Perform statistical analysis to determine trends, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend and implement corrective actions for processes. + Investigate, design, and implement control systems and methods to ensure product quality and equivalency. + Develop and implement strategies based on both quantitative and qualitative insights, focusing on quality, manufacturing, and financial drivers. + Deliver training mechanisms for new or modified processes. + Prepare samples and testing for supplier qualification. + Write and complete validation plans and reports. + Support R&D on new sourcing initiatives as needed. How will you get here? + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in molecular biology, chemistry, immunology, or a related field. + Minimum 5-10 years of industry technical experience in manufacturing biotechnology products. + Validation experience in RAW Materials. + Extensive Laboratory skill with Quality Control Testing. + Sophisticated continuous improvement experience (lean, PPI, Six Sigma, 5S). + Experience interacting with external clients and communicating technical content to various audience sizes. **Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:** + Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, and run cross-functional teams, influence business partners, and achieve results through others. + Business insight. + Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) – ability to communicate across all levels internally and externally. + Excellent leadership, customer orientation, presentation, and problem-solving skills. + Outstanding social skills with the ability to multi-task. + Flexibility and understanding of business impacts to address immediate priorities and lead central initiatives. + Ability to travel both domestically and internationally approximately 10-25% of the time. + Ability to work in a laboratory, warehouse, or manufacturing environment. + Knowledge of established Quality Systems, ISO regulations, and/or cGMP. + Knowledge of enterprise resource systems such as E1 or SAP. + Thrives in a sophisticated work environment with a ‘can-do’ attitude. + Great teammate and team builder with attention to detail. + Customer-focused approach. **Compensation and Benefits** The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $83,300.00–$125,000.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
