Our public benefit purpose is to provide a brighter future for patients through the development of novel pharmaceutical therapies; and technologies that expand the availability of transplantable organs. United Therapeutics (Nasdaq: **UTHR** ) seeks to travel down the corridors of indifference to develop treatments for rare, deadly diseases. We were founded in 1996 by a family seeking a cure for their daughter’s pulmonary arterial hypertension ( **PAH)** . Today, we have six FDA-approved therapies that treat PAH, pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease ( **PH-ILD** ) and neuroblastoma, a rare pediatric cancer. Our near-term pipeline seeks to develop additional therapies for PAH and pulmonary fibrosis ( **PF** ). The cure for end-stage life-threatening diseases like PAH, PH-ILD, PF, and many others is an organ transplant, but only a small percentage of donated organs are available to address the vast need. For this reason, we are working to create manufactured organs to address the shortage of kidneys, hearts, lungs, and livers available for transplant. We believe an unlimited supply of tolerable, transplantable organs will eliminate the transplant waiting list and cure end-stage organ diseases for which transplant is not currently an option. With over 100,000 patients on the organ transplant waitlist and only a fraction receiving the lifesaving organ they require, there is a great need for additional sources of transplantable organs. At Miromatrix, a leader in regenerative medicine and a subsidiary of United Therapeutics Corporation, we are working to address this unmet need by bioengineering human organs to help save and improve patients’ lives. Join our team as we continue to make history by developing life-saving therapies to help patients with liver and kidney disease. **Who You Are** We are seeking a highly skilled **Scientist** or **Senior Scientist** to lead the design and execution of advanced analytical methods supporting bioengineered kidney development. This role requires a strong background in kidney biology and assay development, with expertise in renal physiology, biomarker identification, and functional testing. You will design experiments, develop analytical pipelines, and provide strategic direction for projects focused on evaluating kidney cell, tissue, and organ function. With a deep understanding of kidney anatomy and physiology, you will work closely with clinical collaborators, applying bioanalytical techniques (ELISA, qPCR, flow cytometry) to assess bioengineered kidney health. If you have strong industry experience, critical thinking skills, and a passion for innovation in regenerative medicine, we invite you to join our team in transforming the future of organ bioengineering. **Minimum Requirement for Scientist level** + 6+ years of relevant industry experience with a Master’s Degree or 2+ years of relevant industry experience with a PhD + 6+ years of academic and industry experience working with kidney cells, tissues or organs **Minimum Requirement for Senior Scientist level** + 8+ years of relevant industry experience with a Master’s Degree or 5+ years of relevant industry experience with a PhD **Preferred Requirements for Scientist level** + 6+ years of experience with performing bioanalytical assays (flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR, other) + 3+ years of experience with data analysis software, such as PowerBi, Graphpad Prism, JMP, SAS, SPSS, or similar software packages + 3+ years of relevant industry experience in the development of gene, cells, or cell-derived products **Preferred Requirements for Senior Scientist level** + 8+ years of experience with performing bioanalytical assays (ELISA, qPCR, spectroscopy, flow cytometry, and similar methods) + 5+ years of experience with data analysis software, such as PowerBi, Graphpad Prism, JMP, SAS, SPSS, or similar software packages + 5+ years of relevant industry experience in the development of gene, cells, or cell-derived products **Job Location** This position is 100% onsite at our Eden Prairie, Minnesota office.
