This is a chance to become part of Agilent Pathology R&D in the Solution, Usability and Process Team, where you can make your mark on the new product introductions and product enhancements coming from the Pathology Division.
The department:
The Solution, Usability and Process team ensures that Agilent Pathology products are developed to form integrated solutions that support the workflows in pathology laboratories. This helps them provide the critical diagnostic results needed to secure correct treatment for cancer patients. This requires a detailed understanding of our customer’s daily work. Along with Marketing, we are drivers on ensuring customer involvement in product development and have responsibility for translating customer needs into actionable product requirements for the R&D teams.
The job:
You will be participating in product development and product care projects where you will have responsibility for ensuring technical coordination and decision-making regarding integration of solution elements (instrument, software, reagents) to come together as one solution for the customer. As an ambassador for Human Centered Design, you will collaborate with Marketing in the collection of customer input and in translating and prioritizing this input for the development teams. You will contribute to the design of key user interfaces and will secure direct input from end users on the design, to validate the usability of the design. You will follow the products as they are released to the market and participate in sustain activities. All these are done in close collaboration with the technical experts within the individual design areas and with the support of the collected Solution, Usability and Process team.
QualificationsYou have a strong background within pathology, and a deep understanding of the staining techniques applied to tissue sections to produce diagnostic results. In addition, you have a keen interest in the design and functionality of the systems designed to support these staining techniques. You thrive when working in teams with diverse technical background and use your communication skills to ensure that the different perspectives of the team are used to secure the optimal result, and you are accustomed to documenting your work in a detailed manner. Experience with product development within regulated space will be seen as an advantage.
Education:
· You are a Bachelor of Biomedical Laboratory Science or equivalent or have a Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Life Science (Biology, Biochemistry or similar).
· You are fluent in English, oral and written
Experience:
· At least 3 years’ experience within pathology
· Working in teams with diverse background
· Strong networker
