The Role
We are looking for an SCM Engineer II to join our Software Configuration Management (SCM) team supporting Solera’s critical production deployments for our global market. This Sr. SCM Engineer will work with 15+ SCM engineers responsible for deploying Solera applications to production environments standardized, across Solera’s state-of-the-art data centers and within multiple public clouds. They should have no problem rolling up their sleeves to aid the teams in delivering, helping gather requirements, or diving deep into data modeling with business analysts.
What You’ll Do
Work collaboratively with other operations leads to implement deployment automation solutions for Solera products and projects
Lead and manage a practical engineering function to support product development and quality of life for the team
Refine and transform operational processes in highly available enterprise-class systems
Build up and maintain the SCM product roadmap/schedule with an estimation of the scope of work
Provide engineering execution excellence, as well as technical vision and direction, to ensure the source code management team is aligned with the strategy of the company.
Should involve in POC, design, development, and implementation of SCM tools across Solera
An individual will report to Sr. Director and will be working closely on handover projects, automation of manual deployments, and handling regular releases.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Technology Systems, or Business Administration, or a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
3+ years in systems administration, engineering, or DevOps with a demonstrated focus on application automation is must.
Design and Experience with automation tools or CI/CD tools is preferred.
Experience with container platforms like Docker is preferred.
Configuration management and command execution framework experience.
Programming experience with shell and scripting languages like Bash, Python, Perl, and PowerShell is a must.
Good understanding of system and networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
