Global Division Procurement Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team to execute purchasing and logistics strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. Each day, you will ensure execution in accordance with company and Procurement team instructions and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements. The work model for the role is: #LI - onsiteThis role is contributing to the Process Automation – Measurement & Analytics in India. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tImplement effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy. Ensure alignment between local Procurement activities and Division strategy•\tImplement programs to drive improvement in cost, quality, and delivery, in accordance with group procurement guidelines and the Division objectives.•\tWork proactively to resolve issues related to procurement cost, quality and delivery.•\tEnsuring relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly and ensuring alignment between local procurement activities and division strategy.•\tImplementing programs to drive improvement in cost, quality, and delivery, in accordance with group/business area procurement guidelines and global division/business area objectives.•\tSecuring full utilization of the SAP Ariba platform according to the relevant procedure, both related to sharing supplier information and finding existing high-performing suppliers to ABB.•\tManaging planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending, and savings forecasts.

Qualifications for the role

\tHighly skilled in planning, managing, and tracking procurement activities and cost budgets in industrial automation, automotive, and aerospace.\tYou have 8+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management in global complex companies.\tPossess enhanced knowledge of contractual law and regulations, international trade, and code standards at global, local, and regional levels.\tYou are passionate about a results-driven attitude and a strategic approach to decision-making from a global perspective.\tEngineering degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related disciplines.\tYou are at ease communicating verbally and in writing in English.
