We have a new opportunity for a Procurement Scope Author to support the delivery of an extensive programme of work comprising of new build facilities and refurbishment.

We are seeking a proactive engineering, project management or commercial professional to lead on the production of NEC4 contract scope documentation. In addition to authoring sections of the scope documents, this role will coordinate, review and collate input from the other specialists in the Client team including engineering, quality, information management and project controls.

Working within the Project Management function, the Scope Author will work with the Project Manager and Commercial Departments to support procurement events from identification of a need, through to contract award to a successful supplier. While the primary focus will be on development of the scope documentation, it is anticipated that you will be involved in subsequent stages such as review of supplier proposals against the intended scope.

What Do We Need

We’d like to see experience in a related role with regular involvement in contract management – either pre- or post-contract stages. This experience could be gained from project management, technical or commercial roles.

You will also have experience preparing or implementing a range of forms of NEC4 contracts, with a strong working knowledge of how Scope packages are constructed.

We need a confident communicator, who is comfortable working both within a team, and autonomously as required. You will be detail orientated, with a concise and articulate manner to ensure scope information is illustrated effectively.

An organised approach to ensure deadlines are established, monitored and achieved across the full team is essential.

Location

The role will be primarily based in Glasgow City Centre with occasional site visits to Helensburgh.
