Screening Clerk - MASH

We are seeking an exceptional, engaging and committed individual to join us as Screening Clerk within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). This role is an exciting opportunity to work within a multi-agency team who act as the front door to Children’s Services and respond to safeguarding concerns for children within the borough. The MASH Team is made up multi agencies and responds to safeguarding concerns for Children’s Services. There are four screening clerks that support the functioning of the MASH team and have responsibilities to manage the phone line, respond to a generic inbox, progress referrals to contact records, respond to information requests and legal enquiries and share outcomes of referrals with parents/care givers and professionals. Screening clerks support with the management of data, ensuring family compositions are accurately recorded and the candidate will need to be able to identify safeguarding concerns and prioritise these matters within a busy working environment.

Administration experience is essential and working in a children’s safeguarding environment is desirable.
The current expectation is that Thurrock Council staff work two days in the office as a minimum.
