The Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating and guiding a scrum team in using the Scrum framework and agile principles to deliver value to customers quickly. A scrum master should have a strong understanding of the Scum and Kanban frameworks plus Agile values and principles. This role requires excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation and coaching skills
ResponsibilitiesEssential Responsibilities:
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies - daily stand-ups, planning, grooming, reviews, and retrospectives with teams, PMs and other stakeholders Facilitate and guide team discussions, conflict resolution and progress tracking Adopt, coach, and evangelize Agile values and principles in the team and across the organization Drive continuous improvement at team and org level by using data/metrics and reporting/feedback Help the product development teams perform at their best – without compromising Scrum values on teams where you don’t have direct reports Reinforce customer centric thinking - solve customer’s biggest problems and help build amazing products that delight them Ensure the scrum framework is followed, and guide and coach the team through it. Remove obstacles that prevent the team from meeting its goals. Promote collaboration and ensure the team adheres to Scrum values. Work with the product owner and development team to plan and execute sprint, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews. Create and maintain project timelines and monitor progress against goals. Identify and manage risks Act as a liaison between the Scrum team and people or teams outside of the team Provide timely feedback Drive a culture of agility and learning. QualificationsMinimum Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Job Qualifications:
Experience as a Scrum Master of 3-7 years of proven experience Must have experience with complex initiatives cutting across x-functional teams Expert at Scrum process, ceremonies, and risk management Scrum metrics measurement & management - velocity, burn down and other productivity metrics Strong JIRA Reporting background Experience working with JIRA and Confluence Advanced understanding of Product development and/or infrastructure processes and lifecycle Proven experience delivering new Products to Market Technical comfort and experience with both application and platform software development Outstanding organizational communication & interpersonal relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrixed environment Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid changes with an ability to stay flexible, and adapt as needed Ability to build credibility and rapport with team - technical and non-technical team members alikeOther Preferred Experience:
Experience with JIRA Software Proficiency with Relativity, Nuix, or other eDiscovery platforms EDRM awareness Knowledge of relational databases
