Scrum Master
This Is What You’ll Do:
Act as an advocate for Agile values, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective) to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Oversees projects related to the data strategy and roadmap, coordinates resources, and maintains communication with stakeholders to ensure delivery of those projects at the task level. Guide and support the team in adopting Agile practices and maintaining consistency in their application. Enable the development team to self-organize and make informed decisions, fostering a sense of ownership and accountability. Remove impediments and obstacles that hinder the team's progress, working collaboratively with various stakeholders. Foster open communication between the development team, Product Owner, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and priorities. Report project progress, impediments, and potential risks to the Directors, Executive team, and relevant stakeholders. Contribute to retrospectives and encourage the team to reflect on their processes and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with the Project Management team to ensure alignment between project goals, timelines, and resource allocation. Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed effectively. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to project status, deliverables, and Agile processes. Provide guidance and training to team members and stakeholders on Agile methodologies and practices. Performs other duties as assigned.This Is What It Takes:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or other agile certifications are required. 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in an agile software development environment. Proven experience managing agile projects in cross-functional and distributed teams. Experience working in healthcare, pharmaceutical or life sciences industries preferred. Experience with agile project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Trello. Track record of successfully managing software development teams through agile processes, delivering projects on time and within scope. Deep knowledge of Scrum, Agile, and other agile frameworks like Kanban, Lean, or SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework). Expertise in implementing and managing agile methodologies in a corporate setting, ensuring adherence to best practices. Ability to guide teams in refining their agile processes to enhance productivity and efficiency. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire development teams to achieve their highest potential. Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate discussions, resolve conflicts, and build consensus among team members and stakeholders. Experience working closely with product owners and business stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment of goals. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex issues. Experience fostering a culture of continuous improvement within teams, promoting innovation, and encouraging constructive feedback loops. Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment. A basic understanding of software development processes and technologies, such as DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development languages preferred Knowledge of key metrics and tools for tracking team performance and project progress, such as sprint velocity, cycle time, and burndown charts. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities. High emotional intelligence (EQ) and the ability to foster positive relationships within and outside of the team.ADA/FMLA:
