CGI has an immediate need for a Scrum Master to join our team. Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Scrum Master will support one or more delivery teams within a fast-paced application development environment. As the Senior Scrum Master, you will be a critical member of the core delivery team empowered to help build high performing teams, build a shippable product, and be responsible for leading Agile transformation.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 6+ years leading Agile Scrum teams


• Scrum Master Certified: CSM and/or CSP-SM; SAFe and other certifications +


• Agile Software Development experience in financial industry, with experience/ knowledge of key agile techniques including SAFe, Kanban, Scrum, Lean, XP and other industry best practices


• SAFe Agilist (SA) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE)


• Experience in implementing agile processes within a large organization


• Experience with Scaled Agile framework (SAFe)


• Experience as the hands-on Scrum Master, Agile process coach in a program/portfolio


• Experience with facilitating scrum ceremonies for the teams (S1, Planning, Retrospective, Grooming & Review/Demo)


• Experience with facilitating the discussions of complex, high value IT delivery projects that require the coordination of development work or technology work on multiple platforms to achieve desired functionality. Risks, dependencies management/coordination.


• Experience in coaching/teaching team members on use of agile techniques. Directly observing team activities, guides them through Agile discovery and learning and helps raise and solve impediments, risks.


• Experience in promoting the agile mindset in agile teams. Challenging and removing organizational and cultural impediments, constantly guiding teams in discovery and learning.


• Technical knowledge on Java and AWS implementations would be good to have.​



• Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Jira Plug-ins, Confluent, Mural, White Board, MsTeam, Excel for planning and tracking work performed by teams and produces key metrics, presentations


• Familiar with Lean Agile toolkits/Templates (e.g., Value stream mapping, Epic Template)


• Knowledge of DevOps tools and technical domain is a plus


• Serve as Scrum Master and team coach for squads/teams in a program/portfolio.


• Responsible for the continuous improvement of Agile practices in an Agile program. Identify and provide trainings to promote Agile maturity.


• Serve as the servant leader for the team to ensure clear communication and organization of the team/program, along with maintaining the production backlog and release plan


• Establish cadence for sprints and facilitate the core scrum ceremonies and best practices (Planning, Retrospective, Refinement, Review/Demo, the Scrum of Scrums, release planning workshops, and program inspect and adapt workshop).


• Facilitate the discussions of complex, high value IT delivery projects that require the coordination of development work or technology work on multiple platforms.


• Acts as a conduit to other teams and LOBs with which the team is interacting


• Utilize Agile tools such as Jira, Mural and Whiteboard for planning and tracking work performed by teams.


• Track and produce key metrics, dashboards


• Serve as Agile knowledge source within the organization. Resolve organization impediments and deflect external interruptions.


• Identify and attack organizational impediments which limits team productivity and quality and defining transformation vision and goal. Develop solutions and resolve the most complex issues, as necessary.


• Coach and mentor scrum masters in the program, responsible for the continuous improvement of Agile practices including scaled Agile


• Provide Agile leadership in support of senior management on large programs.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong negotiation and Influencing skills.


• Can work independently


• Motivate individual


Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience.


• Area of Study: Preferred MBA or bachelor’s in computer science, Engineering, or related technical field


• Certifications: Scrum Master Certified​​



CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $84,000.00 - $146,900.00.
