Scrum Master

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitation:

Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.Ensure that the team adheres to Scrum principles and practices.Guide the team in self-organization and cross-functionality.

Coaching & Mentoring:

Provide coaching and mentoring to team members on Agile methodologies and best practices.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and transparency within the team.Support the development of team members through feedback and guidance.

Impediment Removal:

Identify and remove impediments that hinder the team's progress.Collaborate with other Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and stakeholders to address and resolve issues.Ensure that the team has the necessary resources and support to achieve their goals.

Collaboration & Communication:

Act as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on priorities and goals.Facilitate effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders.Ensure that the Product Backlog is well-maintained and prioritized in collaboration with the Product Owner.

Performance Tracking:

Monitor and track the team's performance, including velocity, burndown charts, and other metrics.Provide regular updates and reports on the team's progress to stakeholders.Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance team performance.

Agile Advocacy:

Advocate for Agile principles and practices within the organization.Participate in the Agile community, sharing knowledge and best practices.Stay current with industry trends and advancements in Agile methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience.Proven experience (3+ years) as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment.Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.Strong understanding of Agile principles, practices, and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in software development or a technical background.Advanced Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Professional, SAFe Scrum Master).Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).Knowledge of other Agile methodologies (e.g., Lean, XP).
