A defense contractor in Belcamp/APG is looking to hire a Scrum Master to work alongside software engineers to develop, maintain, and enhance complex integrated software and hardware systems in support of scientific research objectives in a bio/chemical defense application. This role involves working on new emerging technology, problem-solving, and providing solutions on development, architecture, and new technology.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and enhance complex integrated software and hardware systems.Collaborate with software engineers to support scientific research objectives in a bio/chemical defense application.Work with full stack development using agile methodologies.Provide solutions for development, architecture, and emerging technology challenges.Train and assist other team members, providing leadership and taking on more responsibility as a sr-level engineer.Participate in daily scrum meetings and end-of-day meetings to discuss progress.Essential Skills5+ years of experience with full stack software development.Proficiency in Java, Agile methodologies, Angular, Git, Jira, Confluence, JavaScript, Python, HTML, and CSS.Experience with software architecture.Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.US Citizenship is required.Eligibility for Secret Level clearance (can start without clearance).Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in bio/chemical defense applications.Experience in supporting Integrated Early Warning (IEW) and Cyber Assurance for the AFRL.Work Environment
The work will be conducted in an office setting within a bio/chemical defense program in Edgewood, MD, supporting Integrated Early Warning (IEW) and Cyber Assurance for the AFRL. The team operates in a stable program with a good culture and working environment. The position offers a flexible hybrid remote schedule, with an expectation of 4 days on-site and 1 day remote per week. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 - $77.00
