Job Summary
Scrum Master (SM) promotes the agile mindset in agile teams, challenging and removing organizational and cultural impediments. SM guides teams in discovery and learning. In certain situations, SM helps a team through change, helping identify and attack organizational impediments which limit team productivity and quality and defining transformation vision and goal. At the team level, the SM helps the teams form, storm, norm, and perform while shielding the team from external distractions. SM Serves as the servant leader for the team to ensure clear communication and organization of the team and facilitates the core scrum ceremonies and practices.
Key responsibilities
Guides the team and organization on how to use scrum & Agile practices and methodologies Oversees agile process and coaches the team; facilitates transparency, inspection, and adaptation Leads daily scrum, sprint review, and planning meetings in a way that ensures full team engagement Supports Product Owner on release planning Removes impediments (e.g., cultural barriers, logistic challenges) Fosters close cooperation across all team members and encourages cross-training and support for each other Shields the team from external interference and ensures the team is fully functional and productive Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of punishment Implements consistent processes and tools for program management— e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira Aggregates agile team objectives and progress and publishes to business and all team members to ensure visibility and transparency Removes impediments (particularly those escalated by their team) through provision of appropriate resources, guidance, and escalation Liaises with product owner and application architect to ensure alignment on strategy and executionEducation
Bachelor degree and / or equivalent work experience Degree in computer science or engineering (preferred)Minimum experience
Experience in Agile or iterative development / certification Preference for a candidate with relevant domains / products / journeys experienceDomain expertise
Ability to coach team on new development practices Experience using Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, LeanKitAbout Us
