Scrum Master
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support our Data & Analytics team in delivering high-quality, scalable, and efficient data solutions. As a key facilitator, you will work closely with data engineers, analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to drive Agile best practices and ensure successful execution of data-driven initiatives.
In addition to Agile facilitation, you will play a crucial role in establishing best practices and standards, ensuring smooth collaboration across teams and managing dependencies by logging and tracking projects and tickets with other impacted areas.Key Responsibilities:

Agile Facilitation & DeliveryAct as a servant leader for one or more Agile teams within the Data & Analytics function.Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, etc.) and ensure adherence to Agile best practices.Enable the team to remove impediments, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Ensure effective sprint execution and timely delivery of data pipelines, dashboards, and analytical models.Track and manage the team's velocity, backlog health, and sprint goals to maintain high performance.

Setting Up Best Practices & StandardsDefine and implement Agile best practices tailored for Data & Analytics teams, ensuring efficiency and scalability.Establish standardised sprint planning, backlog management, and delivery processes to improve consistency.Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to promote DataOps, CI/CD for data workflows, and documentation standards.Drive the adoption of governance, security, and compliance best practices in data product development.Develop and maintain key Agile metrics to measure team efficiency and promote data-driven decision-making.

Collaboration & Stakeholder ManagementWork closely with Product Owners, Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business Teams to align sprint priorities with business objectives.Support backlog refinement by ensuring clear requirements, well-defined user stories, and realistic estimations.Foster strong collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making.

Process Improvement & CoachingContinuously coach the team on Agile principles, identifying areas for growth in Agile maturity.Identify and drive process improvements to enhance team productivity and collaboration.Promote a culture of continuous improvement through regular retrospectives and action plans.

Risk & Dependency ManagementIdentify potential risks, bottlenecks, and cross-team dependencies, ensuring they are proactively managed.Collaborate with other Scrum Masters, Engineering Teams, and Business Units to align delivery timelines.Help the team balance technical debt, innovation, and business priorities.
