Scrum Master Electronics (PCBA) Development
Introduction

Are you the Scrum Master who is eager to learn and apply agile principles to expand ASML’s fastest growing business? And do you have affinity of hardware (electronics) development?

Together with your PCBA teams for DUV, you will be responsible for realization of the associated electronics functionality - being either PCBAs, firmware or both. Furthermore, you develop the team and coach team members in their professional development.

You’re passionate about driving a hardware team to perform at its maximum potential via continuous improvement, including coaching people in their personal development. You have the required experience with electronics development to be able to guide the evolution of PCBAs and firmware in your team’s scope.


You drive team development by means of sprint evaluation, quality monitoring (e.g. functionality, performance and compliancy). As such you contribute to a safe and pleasant atmosphere on the work floor.

By assisting the group leader in setting targets for team members and coaching them in their contribution and professional development, you co-develop team capability and competences of individual team members. You are not afraid to challenge people on behavior but at the same time you are aware of cultural differences.

You will need strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to be successful in this role. You will work towards meeting and exceeding expectations, and you are flexible. You are ambitious and willing to embrace the opportunity to improve. You will identify and understand the needs of our clients and be responsive, logical, and flexible. To achieve your mission, you initiate meetings to analyze issues and to support, steer, and plan solutions.

Job Description

As scrum master for the group, lead the SAFe and scrum rituals, with strong focus on evaluation and continuous improvement (addressing impediments). Relentless and pro-active steering for continuous improvement:

Driving the cooperation between team members and the cooperation with other teams to a next level: make it a truly High Performing Team

Removing impediments, for which many other teams need to be involved

Maintain deal (handshake) with product owner, function cluster architect and group leader on development plans

Coach team members

Address and if necessary escalate bottlenecks

Preferably, participate in hands-on software development

As we are making the next steps in agile development, your past experience will enable you to explain and drive this transformation further.

Education

BSc or MSc in a technical field, e.g. computer science or electronics.

Experience

Agile development way of working, including SAFe

At least 3 - 5 years of experience as a scrum master either for software or hardware development

Learner and interested in a complex domain and engineering. It is key to have good interest in the solutions and technology and get a good understanding of what engineers are doing in their daily job.

Context of the position

This open position is part of one of the PCBA (printed circuit board) development groups within ASML Development and Engineering. Currently there are 3 team, each with a dedicated PO. The 'Leading Coalition' is in place (Release Train Engineer, Chief Product Owner, Architects) which will help you to be successful in your role.
