Scrum Master / Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with strong communication and technical skills to guide and support our software development teams in delivering innovative, high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate will act as a servant-leader, fostering a culture of collaboration, agility, and continuous improvement while ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and practices. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to navigate a dynamic and fast-paced environment, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This role will also have Project Management responsibilities as well, coordinating project teams, managing resources, and implementing and maintaining processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate Agile Scrum Processes:Lead daily standups, story pointing, sprint reviews, and retrospectivesEnsure teams adhere to Scrum practices and principles while continually improving workflowTeam Support:Act as servant-leader to one or more development teams, enabling them to achieve their goalsIdentify and actively remove impediments that block team progress, whether technical, organizational, or interpersonal, and escalating issues when necessaryFoster a collaborative and supportive team cultureStakeholder Communication:Serve as the primary point of contact for communication between teams and stakeholdersHelp stakeholders understand and maximize the benefits of Agile practicesManage and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies effectivelyProcess Improvement:Continuously evaluate and refine Agile practices to ensure the team operates at its highest potentialFacilitate discussions around team performance and areas of improvementMetrics and Reporting:Track and report on key metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and team capacityProvide actionable insights to help improve team efficiency and productivityCoaching and Mentorship:Educate and mentor team members, stakeholders, and other Scrum Masters on Agile methodologiesPromote a growth mindset within the team and organizationProject Management:Closely monitor project performance through success of short- and long-term deliverables while compiling sprint results and regular project updatesRegularly interact and coordinate with 3rd party business and IT vendorsCommunicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders both verbally and in writing

Required Skills:

Proven experience as a Scrum Master or similar role in a software development environmentStrong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.) and related practicesExperience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environmentExceptional facilitation, organization, and communication skillsProficiency with Jira and related Agile toolsStrong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities

Preferred Certifications (one or more of the following):  

Certified Scrum Master (CSM)Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM)SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)Project Management Professional (PMP)


**Preference is for this position to be hybrid out of our Lincolnshire, IL offices. Remote candidates will be considered and occasional travel to our Lincolnshire, IL offices may be required.**

Pay Range:

$93,800.00-$140,750.00 Annual
