This role is hybrid and requires you to be in our downtown Toronto office (250 Yonge Street) 2-3 times per week - subject to change at any time.
Your future duties and responsibilities:• Must be a hands on Sr. Tester, working on Geographically spread Teams interacting with Developers, Tech Leads, Product Owners on a daily basis at Program level
• Ability to pick up things fast, add/append to existing automation frameworks & create manual/automated tests as required
• Design & develop Test Plans, Test cases (both manual & automated), create/triage & track defects till closure
• Participate on defect triage meetings with the Client stake holders
• Perform Functional testing, Regression testing as required
• Ability to create & maintain traceability matrices
• Ability to work on multiple scrum teams in the same time
• Expert knowledge on HP ALM, JIRA
• Hands on expertise on one or more of tools like CA Lisa, Selenium, QTP/UFT, Par SOAtest, SOAP UI
• Strong experience in Service Virtualization
• primarily responsibility in integrating applications that depend on cloud and service-oriented architectures or applications that communicate with data and APIs
• Hands on testing experience on Web Services
• Working on smoke testing Test environments & get involved in Test environment planning/management
• Hands on working experience on Agile Scrum teams
• Perform both Manual & Automated Web services Testing
• Good knowledge of SOAP & REST Web Services
• Ability to use the CA LISA/Service Virtualization tool to develop new scripts, modify and execute them
• Design, build, maintain mock services, using CA Lisa, Parasoft SOA Test
• Creating, executing SQL queries, running Batch jobs, Hadoop jobs
• Ensure integration of the service virtualization tool with test management and automation tools preferably Parasoft.
• Participate in code creation, testing, and enhancement activities
• Identify and prepare test data, manage test data
• Ensure quality processes and standards are followed
• Execute/maintain service test scripts per test cycle activities as defined in the test plan
• Identify, log, and follow-up on all defects encountered
• Perform additional system testing-related activities, as required
• Communicate progress of testing activities to the Test Manager or directly to client
• Pitch in on other functional/non- functional testing activities as required
• Produce “client-facing” and “CGI-internal” status reports, as required
• Participate in lessons learned reviews
• Participate in pertinent team training activities
• Maintain solid understanding of software testing best practices, methodologies and terminologies
• Coaching & mentoring junior resources in the areas of Testing & Web services
• Work with the QA leadership team to define metrics, and report status of virtualized assets weekly
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and/or Business OR Diploma in IT and/or Business with equivalent IT experience
• Industry recognized testing certification(s)
• 7+ yrs of testing experience is a must
• 5+ yrs working in Banking, specifically towards retail credit cards testing
• 5+ yrs working with JIRA, ALM, Redmine or other Project/Test Management Tools
• 5+ yrs working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• 3+ yrs experience with SOAP/WSDL and REST based services is a must
• Experience with either UFT/QTP, Selenium, CA Lisa, Parasoft SOA Test or SOAP UI is a must
• Experience using JSON and XML formats is a must
• Experience on SQL, working/running batch jobs is a must
• Prior experience working on Agile Scrum Teams is a must

• Understanding and usage of Atlassian products like Jira, HP Test management tool HP Quality Center
• Understanding of Azure DEVOps
• Prior Java development experience ISTQB Certified Maven or Gradle experience Test
