The Opportunity

 Nutanix, a leader in enterprise cloud, is looking to hire a SDET/ MTS - QA for IDF team.  Nutanix welcomes builders, those who are unafraid to take on hard challenges and learn new technologies.

​​IDF is a proprietary distributed NoSQL database developed in-house using C++. It is engineered for maximum efficiency, offering lightweight, low-latency, and high-throughput performance. The database features fault tolerance, notifications, cross-cluster replication, r-indexes, configuration management, time-series support, and SQL-like querying capabilities. 

 

About the Team

We are looking for passionate and highly motivated individuals who can own the end to end quality of IDF features/components/enhancements. You will be expected to work in an on-site setup, where you will be required to be present in the office 4 days a week. This arrangement fosters a sense of camaraderie and allows for more seamless collaboration among team members, leading to increased productivity and creativity. Additionally, being in the office most of the week offers the chance to engage face-to-face with colleagues, enabling better communication and relationship building within the team.

 

Your Role

Develop a deep understanding of databases & distributed systemsTest the quality of the deliverables and influence the delivery of quality products/features in terms of performance, HA, and resiliency of distributed systems.Design high-level test approaches and implement detailed test plans based on the requirements to deliver high-quality(usability, scale, performance, secure) products in a fast-paced environment.Automate test cases, execute them as part of new feature testing, and enable automated regression runs for subsequent releases.Analyze failures and determine root cause, filing defects in the Defect Tracking System and driving them to closure.Develop independent frameworks for scale testing, functional testing and enhancing existing processes to achieve optimum performance.Collaborate with the Development Team to ensure testability and supportability aspects.Engage with customers and support when needed to solve production issues.

 

What You Will Bring

Knowledge of OOPs concepts and its applications in writing test frameworks.Experience in developing automated tests (Python preferred).Experience in using and contributing to projects in continuous integration:- frameworks such as Jenkins.Able to work independently.Love of programming and problem-solving and keen to innovate.Flexible to work in DevOps modelFamiliarity with UNIX/Linux.Works on projects of moderate to high conceptual complexity.Demonstrated ability to write high quality functional and system test plans.Familiarity with virtualization and/or storage and network management will be a big positive.Knowledge of docker/Kubernetes is preferred.2+ years of experience in a QA role

 

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
