We are seeking a hands-on Software Development Manager to lead the development of next-generation profile and sharing services. You will be deep in code and architecture, working on systems that handle millions of requests per second and impact every customer interaction across Amazon. A successful candidate combines technical depth with great communication skills and a drive to deliver results in a collaborative environment.

Key job responsibilities
* Lead and grow a team of engineers building critical profile and sharing services that power experiences across Amazon
* Drive the technical integration of profile systems across multiple Amazon services, including the Store, Prime Video, Alexa, and more
* Excel as a people manager: motivating, mentoring, and developing your team is the most important part of this role. You will recruit top talent and drive engineering excellence
* Maintain strong technical skills to contribute to architecture decisions and design discussions
* Set technical vision for your team and create roadmaps that balance customer experience, technical debt, and business requirements
* Partner with product and business teams to define requirements and deliver solutions that enable new customer experiences.
