Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Advanced Programs Manager 3. This position will be in Huntsville, AL or Roy, UT and will support the Advanced Programs Business Unit.

What you’ll get to do:
The Advanced Programs Manager 3 will be responsible for leading multiple teams and leads through the mission analysis, gap identification, capture, design, integration, and testing of project(s). This position will also be responsible for managing cost, schedule, technical statement of work, as well as developing the pertinent strategic roadmap and interfacing with customer counterparts.
Roles include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide strategic and managerial leadership and excellence oversight for an Advanced Programs team of engineers, architects, business development, supply chain, and other functions focused on capability gap assessment, conceptual design, and technology maturation for the Enablers Line of Business
Creation and implementation of strategy for growth of team and business
Demonstrate leadership through the identification, allocation, tracking, and completion of project objectives to further develop Advanced Programs Enablers Line of Business
Coordinate identification, assessment, and tracking of relevant technology roadmap and associated existing or developing system capability gaps to feed Advanced Programs technology development and conceptual design process for multiple Efforts
Support future Advanced Programs and Division team engagement activities, technical staff performance and goal evaluation, and recruiting/hiring support
Demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business
Operate in an advanced design environment and collaborate across the Defense Sector Divisions and other Sectors to plan and accomplish Northrop Grumman goals
Work closely with the Advanced Programs project leads and other core organization leads in defining, growing, and executing the organization’s people and business
Conceptualize, mature, and capture new business for growth of the Division
Transition innovative solutions, technologies, and advanced concepts for US strategic deterrence interests to programs of record for product development and fielding

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and 8 years of related experience or Masters Degree and 6 years of related experience or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
Minimum of 3 years in a formal management position
5 years of experience with DoD weapon system conceptual and preliminary design, particularly related to design analysis cycles, cost versus capability trade studies, and multi-design discipline integration
5 years of experience with large weapon design to include vehicle, command and control, ground systems, and support systems
1+ years of experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles and application or as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)
Experience with Large Captures (>$3B)
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
These qualifications would be nice to have:
Bachelor’s of Science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
DoD Project or program manager experience of a dollar value $20M or greater
Experience with existing NC2/NC3 capabilities and systems
Experience with NCTA Management and Strategy
Experience managing a multi-disciplinary teams, and teams of teams
Experience with nuclear hardened strategic systems
Experience with detailed design and engineering and manufacturing development
Excellent technical writing skill
Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills required to work closely with both internal staff and external customers and partners

Salary Range: $161,500.00 - $267,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
