Become a member of Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Sea-Based Weapon Systems Test Directorate (ABT) and join a high performing operational team in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The candidate's knowledge and technical skills to analyze and manage all aspects of mission preparation and execution will ensure the success of the MDA test program.

What you will do...

The candidate will work with multiple mission stakeholders (Mission Director, Mission Manager, Integrated Event Test Team, and element Mission Management Team) in planning, coordinating, integrating, and executing Sea-Based Weapon Systems Tests. The candidate will collaborate with MDA, military services, other government agencies, and contractor personnel to support test execution. The candidate will assist in the test readiness reviews; identify, generate and manage schedules, requirements and other documentation in support of flight and ground test operations. 

Skills you will need...

The candidate will be capable of providing test engineering support on systems, system elements, interfacing systems, components, devices and/or processes for developmental and operational weapon system programs during developmental and operational test events, including flight, HWIL, and operational environments. Capable of working as a team member to solve engineering problems. Possesses general technical and theoretical knowledge of the DoD principles of developmental and operational testing and the verification and validation activities of the engineering “V”, system test and integration, strategic planning, and/or process improvements. Works as a member of team to solve test planning, integration, execution, and analysis problems. Has a basic knowledge of MDS components and system-level topics.
