The SEA Career Development (CD) Senior Specialist plays an integral role in the Southeast Asia People Team and is essential to efforts to develop and strengthen our consulting talent pool. The Senior Specialist works in a close-knit team environment to drive the day-to-day operations of the career development process for the consulting team and contribute to initiatives to enhance process efficiency and impact. This includes playing an instrumental role in ensuring successful change management and adoption of a new CD Management system being implemented.
The SEA CD Senior Specialist will work closely with a variety of key stakeholders, including the Consulting Team, broader HR team in Southeast Asia, Asia-Pacific and Global, and key Managing Director & Partner stakeholders. YOU'RE GOOD AT
Facilitate quarterly Career Development Committee meetings, working closely with CD Chairs and CD AdvisorsOwn the CD process end-to-end, from locking in dates for CD meetings with multiple senior stakeholders to preparing the meeting agenda with particular consideration to promotion schedulesPrepare summaries for pre-CD discussion with CD ChairsPrepare materials for career development meetings and support meeting logistics to ensure meetings run smoothlyWork with Career Advisors to ensure documentation for CD meetings are well preparedCross check and calibrate evaluations; engage independently with evaluators to challenge and ensure robust feedback and well calibrated scoresBrainstorm and strategize with CD Chair on cohort themes and plan relevant interventionsFacilitate meetings and take minutes (occasional travel within Southeast Asia may be required)Prepare post meeting material including seeking leadership endorsement on key decisions made and following up end-to-end on various documentation required
Drive highly efficient day-to-day Career Development operations
First point of contact for all CD related questions, including conducting orientation on CD for new hires
Maintain accurate and up-to-date CD records for each SEA consulting staff, including by ensuring accurate data integration with other BCG HR systems
Ensure all CD feedback processes are delivered in timely manner and meet BCG’s high standards, including by reviewing and calibrating evaluations submitted by reviewers
Independently allocate Career Advisors for all consulting staff and develop initiatives to improve Career Advisor quality
Coordinate and support CD for transfer candidates (in/outbound)
Support Partnership in identifying and developing high potential individuals and ensuring retention and eventual successful progression to Partnership
Coordinate with peers from other teams (e.g., Finance, Human Resources) and with counterparts across the region to maintain accuracy of information on systems
Independently propose initiatives and work with manager in developing and continuously improving Consulting Team’s career development framework and process
Support key reporting & analytics
Generate reports and perform data analysis for pre- and post-CDC reporting as well as ad-hoc requests
Prepare relevant HR and workforce planning reports – attrition, tenure on a monthly basis for the regional and global teams
potentiAs aal stretch role for selected team members, the role may also include key support for the SEA Year-End Bonus process for the consulting team. This will include working directly with senior SEA stakeholders to conduct detailed and rigorous bonus analysis in excel. Individuals will be selected for this role after a period of observation of key skillsets and performance level required.

Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in the HR fieldBachelor/Masters degree, preferably with business or HR focusProficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Powerpoint, Word and OutlookDatabase management and reporting experience.
