Seals Cell Captain - 1st Shift
Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Seals Cell Captain - 1st Shift. The hours for this role are 7am-3pm The hourly rate for this position is $27.00 per hour. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. **What you’ll do:** Primary Objective: The Cell Captain is responsible for supporting the Seals production line with complex operations, setups, and troubleshooting needs and assists with new hire training / cross training. Primary Responsibilities: + Provide support across the production line by troubleshooting and escalating issues that might occur during the shift. + Form complex metallic seals of various sizes using a series of manual machines that bend, cut, and shape the seal to meet work order dimensions. + Train new hires and cross train utilizing the standard work and the On-the-Job Training (OJT) process. + Oversee and help execute CI & 5S+ activities in assigned Value Stream. + Set up machines with the correct tooling to start a production cycle. + Conduct in-process inspection by measuring seals using tools such as micrometers, pi tape, gauge, venires, etc. and checking dimensions as indicated on the blueprints. + Complete and maintain production line logs and associated work order paperwork. **Qualifications:** Basic Qualifications + 2 years of manufacturing experience in corresponding Value Stream. + This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. + Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. + No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate Beltsville area (50 miles) will be considered for this position. Preferred Qualifications: + 4+ years of manufacturing experience in Value Stream, cross trained in multiple roles. + 1+ year of professional trainer experience. + 1+ year of professional experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) proficiency. Position Criteria: + Strong product and process knowledge of assigned Value Stream. + Knowledgeable with EHS Risk Assessment Tool and Visual Work Instructions. + Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple simultaneous assignments. + Strong communication skills including written and verbal across various site functions. + Ability to select and use training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching. + Ability to provide full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. + Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate well with others. **Skills:** **Position Criteria:** + Strong product and process knowledge of assigned Value Stream. + Knowledgeable with EHS Risk Assessment Tool and Visual Work Instructions. + Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple simultaneous assignments. + Strong communication skills including written and verbal across various site functions. + Ability to select and use training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching. + Ability to provide full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. + Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate well with others.
