We are hiring a Seasonal Dock Team Lead to join our team in Chilliwack ,BC. Seasonal from February 2025 until end of August 2025.
**Compensation:** $28.00 / hour
**Schedule:** Monday to Friday 10:00 am - 6:00 pm, must be flexible to work evenings and weekends.
**Shift differential:** 6% - 8% of base hourly rate shift differential paid for applicable hours worked
**Benefits:** Health and Dental Package offered after 45 days or opt out for $1.00 increase after 3 months
$500 Sign-on Bonus (after 45 days)
$1000.00 Retention bonus paid at the end of the contract
Responsibilities
+ Handle pick tickets, BOL’s and receive returns
+ Control gate entry / exit while maintaining yard security, and interfacing with drivers
+ Monitor the trailer pool (yard check)
+ Interface with Planning and Customer Support
+ Active participant in TPM activities including active participating in the dock SHO
+ Assign trailer loading to material handlers, follow up to ensure timely departure to meet customer delivery appointments
+ Communicate issues to the Warehouse Manager and Customer Support as they occur. Seek resolutions to ensure customer satisfaction
+ Prepare and distribute shipment documentation
+ Support Material Handler and Team Lead as required. Operate a forklift when necessary
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Forklift experience
+ Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehousing and/or manufacturing environment
+ Demonstrated communication skills that show ability to gain co-operation and understanding from warehousing personnel as well as internal and external customers to the shipping department
+ Must not have had either performance, attendance or safety infraction within last 12 months
+ Demonstrated ability to support the above verbal communications requirements with effective written communications
+ Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (can create, retrieve, and input into systems). Proficiency in data entry
+ Demonstrated multitasking skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
+ Ability to work overtime hours and weekends
+ Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
+ Knowledge of team KPI’s
+ Ability to reliably commute to Hope, BC.
+ Legally eligible to work in Canada
