Hiring Immediately Seasonal Groundskeeper Location: Mt. Olivet Cemetery - Wheat Ridge, CO As our Seasonal Groundskeeper, you will report to the Operations Manager and provide grounds services for the Cemeteries and Mortuaries until the Fall. As our Seasonal Groundskeeper, you will adhere to company policies and procedures and in doing so uphold the social teachings of the Catholic Church (the Church). Benefits + Hourly: $19.75 + Dress: Uniform and coat provided Requirements + 40 hours: Monday – Friday, Saturdays when needed + Location: 90% Mount Olivet (Wheat Ridge), 10% St. Simeon (Aurora) + Must have a Valid Driver’s License + Must pass a background check "Filling the void of loss with Faith," a meaningful opportunity Responsibilities + Must be motivated for cross training of all facility grounds keeping + Ditch and general grounds cleaning + Cemetery grounds cleaning to include: trash pick up, decoration clean up per guidelines +   Some mowing, trimming of native areas and some landscaped areas + Weekly sod installation and hand watering + Observe safety rules and ensure compliance with the operating procedures of corporate, federal, state and local regulations, including OSHA regulations + Work order completion + Identify equipment needs for each assigned project + Help identify grounds and visitor needs and concerns and notify a supervisor as soon as possible and distribute prayer cards to guests + Set up for services + Ability to recognize sensitive information and adhere to strict confidentiality + Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications + Have a positive and supportive attitude toward the Catholic Church, her teachings, and her work + Good communication skills + High level of compassion and integrity + Good problem-solving skills and detailed oriented + Timeliness and consistency of work + Ability to listen and learn from others + Refrain from public promotion or approval of any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals About us… Mt. Olivet Cemetery was consecrated in 1892 and is located on the western side of the Denver Metro area in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.  It is the largest cemetery in Colorado containing 392 acres.  St. Simeon Cemetery was consecrated in 2004 and is located on the eastern side of the Denver Metro area in Aurora, Colorado. The Mortuary has two locations. The first is located on the grounds of Mt. Olivet Cemetery and was opened in 1981.  The second was the recent acquisition of Caldwell-Kirk Mortuary.  These entities serve the Catholic Community of the Denver metro area and its various parishes, missions, and apostolates and other members of the general public regardless of their religious affiliation.   Powered by JazzHR
