Job Overview
The Holiday Celebrations Ambassador of Macys is charged with helping to spread cheer and goodwill among our Santa visiting guests. As a Holiday Celebrations Ambassador, you will be responsible for assisting guests with checking in for their Santa reservation. You will also be tasked with maintaining the flow of guests passing through the queue line area while keeping a positive, cheery demeanor and helping spread holiday cheer. The Ambassador is also responsible for keeping the Macys Santa on brand within our store.
Essential Functions
Maintaining crowd control Checking in guests using our computerized reservation system Assisting guest with making reservations Fielding customer questions and concerns Communicating with other Ambassador team members and photo vendor on guest flow throughout the queue area Policing exhibit against damages, littering, and shoplifting Minor decoration touch-up Powering on attraction each morning and securing each evening Communicating problems to store managers and security Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality Always maintain a cheerful, upbeat demeanor while on stage in front of guests Building and sending end-of-day report Act as communication liaison to Macys Branded Entertainment Operations Management Complete nightly report and distribute via email
Competencies
Crowd control experience with both adults and children required. Customer service experience required. Performer experience preferred. Knowledge of a second language helpful. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment. Present a professional image consistent with Macy's brand values. Effective communicator. Leadership. Customer Service. Punctuality. Cheerful and enthusiastic disposition. Ability to engage and entertain children. Must be comfortable working in crowded areas. Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours which may include day, evening, weekends and/or holidays. Schedule must work in conjunctions with other Ambassador team members.
