About the unit:

This is a FT Behavioral Health LPN position working Night shift in the Behavioral Health department at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Arkansas

Our Inpatient Behavioral Health Service offers 77 beds for adults (18 years of age and older) that are experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis and present a danger to self, danger to others, and/or grave disability as a result of their mental illness. Our typical patient population consists of individuals with mood, thought, and or co-occurring conditions that require interventions with medication, therapy, and observation.

This position functions primarily in the psychiatric acute inpatient space of the hospital, assisting patients who are experiencing an immediate mental health crisis and require acute stabilization and treatment. Administers nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient care. Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.
