In order to fulfill our mission, we have to build a great team across a number of disciplines – ecommerce, retail, design, and manufacturing. 

We are a consumer business operating online and in our 20 retail stores (DC, NYC, Boston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Chicago) – and growing. We operate two manufacturing facilities in Richmond, KY and  WInchester VA, that allow us to deliver a high-quality custom product at an affordable price with a quick turnaround. We exist, grow, and ultimately own the market by delighting customers who trust and value us. Over the next three years, we will be rapidly expanding both our manufacturing jobs and our retail jobs across the United States.

POSITION:

As a Production Supervisor, you will have an opportunity to develop a team, while mastering the tools, processes, and operations. This is a hands-on supervisory role that would actively participate in the training and production process. 

As a Production Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to assist the Operations Manager in leading and developing your team. The core of the job will be engaging with your team during a shift to ensure that the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, performance, and engagement are maintained. To achieve this, the Production Supervisor will have all the tools needed to succeed for any task during a shift.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.

Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.

Maintains quality and safety standards.

Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.

Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions, and responding to requests.

Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

Resolves employee issues by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Other assignments directed by the Plant Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

1-2 Years of Supervisory Experience in a Manufacturing environment

Ability to work Day or Weekend shifts.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Great work ethic and ability to motivate others.

Basic computer skills and comfortable with learning business specific software.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stand and walk the production floor for long periods of time.
