Seasonal Team Members provide essential store support during busy periods, typically for up to 11 weeks. They provide customer service, stocking, cleaning, and other functions throughout ABC stores.  The Seasonal Temporary Team Member may be scheduled for shifts any day of the week, Monday through Sunday.

Responsibilities

Seasonal team members may do some or all of the following, depending on store needs:

Share cheer and goodwill with our fellow team members and guestsProvide exceptional guest service by greeting and assisting all guests, answering questions, recommending products, and locating items in-store or at a nearby ABC locationAssist guests in getting their purchases to their vehicleCreate gift baskets as needed, wrapping with enthusiasm, with attention to detail and creativityOperate a point-of-sale terminal to process guest transactions, involving basic cash handling and applying coupons or discounts in accordance with company policy (trained staff only)Unload delivery trucks, if needed, depending on scheduleAssist in stocking the store throughout, including shelves and coolersKeep the store clean, which includes assisting with box breakdown, light trash removal, and light cleaning duties (sweep, mop, keep bathrooms clean and supplied)Deliver products to curbside as needed to our guests in their carsArrive for shifts on time and ready to work. Shifts may vary and are usually scheduled between the hours of 11 AM – 7 PM, 12 PM – 8 PM, and/or 3 PM – 10 PM.Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Minimum Experience, Skills, and Education

21 years of age or overHave scheduling flexibility, with the ability to work weekends, holidays and/or nightsMust present a neat and professional appearance, and is able to abide by the ABC dress code and earring/tattoo policyRetail experience or customer service experience desirable, but not requiredPositive attitude is a mustFlexibility in daily job tasks is essentialAble to interact with guests and other team members professionally and courteouslyMust pass company-issued background screening prior to hire

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stoop, lift, stretch, bend, and move during shift for store tasksMust be able to remain standing for long periods upwards of 8 hours at a time, and frequently move throughout the store, including stockrooms and backrooms on premisesMust frequently lift and/or transport up to 25 pounds throughout the store including through any stockrooms or backroom on premisesMust be able to operate a computer sales terminal and frequently handle or touch products, money and/or any object located within store property.   Occasionally ascends and descends ladders and step stools to safely access stockroom and floor shelves as neededA person in this position frequently communicates to guests, team members, and any other persons who may enter the premises and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Work Environment

The work environment is a busy store environment, with interaction with people and products throughout the store.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.The team member is occasionally exposed to working in high, precarious places in the store or stockroom, when accessing ladders and steps stools is necessary.The team member is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions, when maintaining the property and assisting guests is necessary.The team member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, when utilizing cleaning solutions or supplies is necessary.  The team member is occasionally exposed to refrigerated temperatures between 32-41º F, when stocking and/or retrieving product in the cooler is necessary.
