SEC Regulatory Matters Senior Manager
The SEC Group is a part of the firm’s Audit Quality & Risk group, which functions as a part of the risk management function. SEC Group members have direct interaction with our service line professionals and client personnel, helping to improve the accuracy and transparency of financial reporting.
Your day-to-day may include:
Working on technical consultations on SEC reporting matters for domestic and foreign filers Assisting teams on IPOs and other securities offerings, including review of registration statements and comfort letters Reviewing responses to SEC comment letters Participating in and coordinating limited reviews of the SEC filings of GTI member firm clients Preparing internal/ external presentations, AQR communications and thought leadership publications Presenting internal and external training sessions on relevant subject matter areas Teaming with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development calls, while understanding and managing firm risk on such proposals Managing, developing, training, and mentoring staff on projects and assess performance for periodic reviews Representing the firm at recruiting and professional networking events Adhering to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality Lead and support business development activities, such as identification, proposal development and other pursuit activities at clients Other duties as assignedRequired technical skills, qualifications, and abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required Minimum of seven years of progressive audit experience (including experience working on audits of public companies in a medium to large public accounting firm or equivalent), global network firm experience a plus Active CPA license required Excellent analytical and technical skills including proficiency in US GAAP, PCAOB standards, and SEC reporting Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities Value teamwork, are agile and know the power of building strong relationships Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Can travel as needed
