Internship Program Overview:
Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries seeks an experience SEC Reporting Analyst Intern will help drive the SEC reporting process while streamlining our reports in order to meet our deliverables. The candidate will work across the organization to understand accounting impacts, key business issues and devise actionable strategic recommendations with corroborating financial analysis.
Essential Responsibilities:
Roll forward all external reporting documents for upcoming quarters.Review all documents to ensure prior period numbers are accurate.Use the data from the cashflow process to streamline the reporting.Assist with the preparation of the cash flow and balance sheet analytics.Detailed working knowledge of the Excel and PowerPoint applications within Microsoft OfficeMonitor financial performance by analyzing and reporting on variances from plan.Conduct ad-hoc analysis to ensure the best corporate decisions are made to achieve operational and financial objectives.Increase productivity by working with internal partners to develop repeatable business processes.Develop and maintain strong relationships with Controllership, R&D, Investor Relations and site finance teams.Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.Required Qualifications:
Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s, in Finance, Accounting or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship. Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing. Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal) Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.Preferred Qualifications:
Prior related internship or co-op experience Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc. Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
