Position Overview:

The Cook prepares food for patients, staff, visitors and catering functions. Coordinates own food production with others so foods are ready and served at specified times. May relieve in other food production areas, such as cold production, bakery, on trayline, or cafeteria if needed.

The Cook must have previous quantity food production experience. RequiredExperience in hospital or skilled nursing facility cooking is desirable. Preferred


EDUCATION

Additional Requirements/Area of Study: Trade school program in cooking.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

This position must have knowledge of weights, measures and conversions to calculate amounts and follow recipes.Knowledge of modified diets is helpful.Use of food service equipment such as grill, oven, mixer, grinder, chopper, knives and others.

Pay Range is $28.25 to $35.49 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
