Under the general direction of the Manager, Renal Services and the Nurse Clinician responsible for training and follow-up of Peritoneal Dialysis /Home Hemodialysis patients, ensuring safe patient and family practice in the home, and inter-facing with outside agencies and hospitals on supplies and equipment delivery for Peritoneal and Home Hemodialysis patients.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And Experience

Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant. Two years' recent related experience in Nephrology nursing, specifically related to peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills And Abilities Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to work with the community and hospital personnel. Ability to work independently. Ability to deal with others effectively. Ability to teach using adult education principles. Physical ability to perform the duties of the position. Link to Full Job Description
