Job Overview:

The Radiation oncology secretary coordinates activities at the front desk/reception area and interacts effectively with the Radiation Oncologists and all team members.

Qualifications:

Required:

High school graduate or equivalentComputer experience

Preferred:

Previous experience in a medical office

Essential Functions:

Registers patients, reviews patient insurance plans, maintains accurate records in regarding referral, authorization for radiation therapy, office visits etc,Answers phones professionally, records messages and forwards calls to appropriate party, reschedule and schedules appointments timelyFiles patient information in a timely fashionExcellent communication skills, time management and problem solving skills
