DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Greets all patients and visitors to CC and assists patients in arriving in treatment or clinic on time by having labels printed and updating demographic information in a timely manner. Maintain nutritional center. Maintain a neat and organized lobby. Perform other duties, as directed by Supervisor. Copies patient insurance cards and new demographic information, and forwards to CC business office. Validates parking tickets for patients. Prints daily clinic lists for all clinical areas. Channel all in-coming calls to the appropriate department. Maintain patient/visitor sign-in logs, as directed. Coordinate patient arrival with Breast Center and Registration Departments. Provide assistance, guidance and direction to patients and visitors. Call for in-house transportation assistance when necessary, provided directions, wheelchairs, nourishment and consistent communication between patients and departments.WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Required:
High School Diploma or GED Complies with regulatory requirements (i.e. TJC) appropriate for position. Multiple telephone line experience and good telephone etiquette Computer experience Ability to communicate with patients, staff, and community members, both in person and on the telephone. Knowledge of Cancer Center procedures and staff#LI-JS4

Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385-bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and level 2 trauma facility with an innovative, patient centered and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department. Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.
GENERAL DUTIES:
To serve as initial contact person for patients, their family members and representatives, and other visitors coming to the Cancer Center or calling on main Cancer Center telephone number. These services further the vision of Desert Regional Medical Center to create unique environments, where patients, their families, doctors and staff come together to achieve longer and better lives in the fight against cancer.
