Summary About the Position: Located at the USAJFK Special Warfare Center & School Chief of Staff in Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Responsibilities Serves as the principal advisor to the Command in the areas of office support services, administration, policies and management, document control, and a variety of other administrative matters. Coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes. Responsible for providing direct assistance and advice to the Command staff on integrating, coordinating, and processing administrative actions, and providing administrative support to the SGS and Command Group. Writes and Edits in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner IAW AR 25-50. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: Have one year of specialized experience which includes Coordinating administrative operations for executive leaders and staff; Reviews and Edits memorandums, policies, and staff actions IAW AR 25-50. Evaluating and submitting various actions and/or documents in the Command such as (correspondence, staff actions, travel arrangements and briefings), Establishing deadlines and priorities; and coordinating and/or processing administrative actions with appropriate Command activities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Planning and Evaluating Technical Competence Writing Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-???????11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
