Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. You will serve as a Secretary (OA) in the Spacecraft Engineering Division, Code 822000 of NRL Responsibilities You will perform secretarial, administrative, and clerical duties for the Branch Head. You will provide backup assistance to other branch secretaries, as required. You will make travel arrangements and take necessary action for travel reimbursements. You will ensure Branch personnel enter the proper financial information in accordance with established reports to include timecards, procurements (small and large purchases), and purchase card orders. You will participate in the financial management responsibilities of the branch to include monitoring of timecards, procurements (small and large purchases), and purchase card orders. You will arrange meetings, coordinate visitor requests, receive visitors and phone calls and direct calls/visitors to appropriate staff. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-01/04) or pay band (NC-01) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: (1) Utilizing office automation equipment and processes; (2) Performing administrative and clerical duties i.e filing, answering phone calls, making appointments; (3) Generating reports, typing and ensuring grammatical correctness of correspondence and ensuring proper routing procedures are followed; (4) Providing assistance to others through customer service in an office/business setting; and (5) Maintaining calendars. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Education In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school OR A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
