Section Chief, Pediatric Cardiac ICU
Job Summary St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to lead the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care program as Section Chief. As a member of the leadership team, this candidate will be an integral part of the expansion of our Heart Center which includes cardiology, electrophysiology and cardiac surgery services. The ideal candidate will have sub-specialty certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, at least 5 years of clinical experience in complex cardiac care, a history of demonstrated leadership and a strong commitment to clinical excellence. In addition to oversight of clinical care, responsibilities will include management of capacity and throughputs, and patient and family experience initiatives. Partnering with nurse leaders, will lead quality initiatives and be the physician champion for clinical registry participation (PC4). Utilizing data driven solutions, clinical guidelines and evidence based best practices, will lead process improvements while fostering a culture of collaboration, delivering clinical and service excellence. This position will further the development of our cardiac intensivist program and play an integral part of the critical care fellowship. The position includes an academic appointment at Drexel University, academic rank commensurate with experience and performance. Our cardiac surgery program's comprehensive care center partnership with Columbia University's HeartSource program, provides academic and clinical support for our physician leaders and team members.
